PU tyres can be found on more pushchairs than the air-filled tyres, yet they are still just as robust. You can recognise PU tire treads by their matte appearance and soft feel. They also glide well on even and tied surfaces. If you move your hand over the tyres, you can determine if they're PU or rubber. If it feels like it is sliding then it's a PU. You can also test whether your buggy comes with PU tyres, by sliding them on a flat, clean surface. They should roll easily and fit comfortably into wheel hubs.
